HEALTH AWARENESS PROGRAM

The African Canadian Association is dedicated to enhancing community well-being through health education and promotion. Our goals includes:

Health Education: Providing information on prevalent health issues to empower the community with knowledge for prevention and management.

Lifestyle Promotion: Encouraging healthy habits such as balanced nutrition, regular physical activity, and overall wellness practices.

Access to Healthcare: Facilitating basic health screenings and connecting individuals to essential health services.

Awareness Campaigns: Highlighting the importance of mental health, proper hygiene, and awareness of specific diseases to foster a healthier, more informed community.

Culture is a big part of the African Canadian Association. As a result, we have partnered with various diverse African groups, to bring the rich culture of Africans to Canadians. We participated in several cultural events during the year.

The African Canadian association is involved with various community programs that include adult education, orientation, as well as job placement opportunities for those in the Kitchener Waterloo Region.
